Dandelion season 2010
It is Spring! Dandelions are out!
Yes, it is dandelion season once again!
The milder than usual weather conditions here in Sault Ste. Marie has
really helped with this years dandelion season. The cooler weather that
we were experiencing has helped keep the dandelions from growing too fast and has allowed multipule pickings.
My previous blog entry about dandelions was found by a reporter from our
local newspaper, the Sault Star and yesterday I was interviewed by them for a story on dandelions. Glad
to see the search engines are working and has indexed my blog. In the article I will be sharing my
recipes and hope to come up with some new recipes to share with other dandelion fans.

In Rememberence of Dusty
Yesterday Dusty was put to rest after health issues. He will truly be missed! In dedication to Dusty I have put together photos of some memorable times that were shared by him.
Hope Dusty gets better
During the past week Dusty has been not feeling well - perhaps the years have caught of with him. On December 4th he was brought to the vet and the outcome was not good, his hip dysplasia and dementia has gotten worse, over the next four days he is going to be on medication to see if he can start feeling better. Overall his spirit is good and is still quite spunky, whenever we go go a walk he brings smile to the faces on lookers, we hope that he pulls through and can enjoy the family Christmas with our family. Now I would like to share some photos taken from some memorable moments that we had with Dusty.
Dusty the dog gets Busted
Could tying your dog to a parking meter be bad?Well, today I found out the hard way - it was a nice day out and thought I would walk downtown with Dusty the dog to a favorite lunch place which serves great sandwiches and burgers. Thinking if I sit in the front of the restaurant I could keep an eye on Dusty while enjoying my lunch. Well, when I was tying Dusty to the parking meter - which is on city property, the waitress came out and told me I can't tie up my dog there in front of the restaurant. I was shocked, keep in mind this place isn't by all means a five-star restaurant! What's so bad about tying up a docile 9 year old Golden Retreiver in front of your establishment? So after pleading with the waitress I gave up, frustrated and upset Dusty and I headed down to the local pizzeria, where by the way has great pizza. It was a most interesting day out on Queen Street!
